Welcome to Islandols Ragdolls

Beautiful Ragdoll Cats & Kittens located in Florida

The Ragdoll cat is a blue eyed pointed cat that has a coat that feels like rabbit fur to your touch. This medium-long coat is resistant to matting and does not shed as heavily as some of the other breeds.

Ragdolls are a large gentle cat that win their way into your heart. Altered males can weigh as much as 20 pounds and the females are proportionately smaller. They are known for their non-aggressive and laid-back nature. There are four basic colors: Blue, Lilac, Seal and Chocolate. Other colors came later, they are: Cream, Flame, Tortie and Blue-cream. Each color comes in several different patterns: Bicolor, Mitted and Colorpoint. The colors are distinguished by the varying amounts of white allowed.

Ragdolls are considered a slow maturing breed. Full size is not achieved until four years of age.

Ragdolls will sleep with you, follow you where you go and want to be at your side at all times. They want to be your companion, best friend and soulmate forever.

I was first introduced to the Ragdoll cat in the mid 1980's and decided then to have Ragdolls when my children were out of school. I knew then that the Ragdoll was the cat for me. They were so sweet, docile, loving and dog like in their personalities. I had German Shepherd Dogs back then, so I have always been involved in breeding and showing. It has always been an important part of life.

We live in Central Florida (Orlando area) with our Ragdoll family. The children are all gone now, living their own lives. The Ragdolls are our extended family and a very important part of our lives.

The Ragdoll are loved, kissed and held from the very beginning. They are allowed to sleep with us if they want and they go to their new families thinking that they should sleep with them, too. They are raised in our home under foot and showed love from the first day of their lives.

Islandols is registered with CFA, ACFA and TICA. We belong to RAG, RFCI and a member of the CFA-Ragdoll Breed Council.
